Under the direction of the Twin Ports Ministry to Seafarers, Inc, The Seafarers Center strives to provide an agency through which Christian groups and individuals may cooperate in a ministry for the spiritual, social and personal needs of seafarers who are in the twin ports of Duluth, Minnesota and Superior, Wisconsin USA.

The Twin Ports Ministry to Seafarers was incorporated in 1969 as an ecumenical ministry to the thousands of men, women and children who visit our ports by ship.   In 1975 the physical facilities of the center changed from a 60-foot trailer located at Garfield Avenue to our present facility on West Third Street.

Support for the ministry is through 13 denominations throughout a seven-state area and through numerous private donations, without which the quality of services and care given by the center would be severely reduced.



We proclaim the love of God as revealed in Jesus Christ by demonstrating that love to others in Christian hospitality.



The Pilot's Psalm


    The Lord is my Pilot, I shall not drift.
    He guides me across the dark waters.
    He steers me in deep channels.
    He keeps my log.
    He pilots me by the star of holiness for His name's sake.
    Yea, though I sail 'mid the fenders and tempests of life I shall dread no danger for He is near me.
    His love and care shelter me.
    He prepares a harbor before me in the homeland of eternity.
    He anoints the waves with oil, my ship rides calmly.
    Surely sunlight and starlight shall favor me on my voyages and I will rest in the Port of our Lord forever.
